Ghost In The Grass is a full feature length film based upon the book Florida’s Negro War by Dr. Anthony E. Dixon (profaedixon.com) which provides a historical account of the Black Seminole involvement and leadership during the Second Seminole War historically called the “ Negro War”. This movie will chronologically outline portions of the War from 1835-1838 when the Black Seminoles and formerly enslaved runaways valiantly fought for their freedom resulting in a peace treaty that guaranteed their freedom in present day Oklahoma.

The overall theme of this movie is unity by providing a historical overview of the most successful and largest slave rebellion in the history of the United States. It demonstrates the unification of Blacks with Seminole Native American heritage, Blacks living as maroons, and runaways who collectively became known as Black Seminoles.
